it's a lot more serious, i'd say. like you could still be on friendly terms with your rival (you just happen to butt heads frequently about something or another) but you and your archenemy would probably try to kill each other on sight. that's the feeling i get from the words, anyway

not really, but it's still subtly exclusionary (people use it on mixed groups all the time, but would you use it to address a group of only women?) so i try to avoid it these days

kouya is not an easy show to translate by any means (the official subs were even worse). i don't recall the details regarding yuki-chan
