Why does official F/SN subs remove furigana above trace..on? You don't see "Gae Bolg (my spear) is ..." as intended, but I think doing stuff like that is a cool aesthetic thing. Takes away from the experience in my opinion.

Why is there such entitlement over matters such as DRM or copyright etc? What happened to "don't like it, don't buy it"?

I don't really see the problem with complaining about the use of anti-consumer devices. DRM and the like is used on the assumption that it will make more money from people who don't care than it will lose due to lost sales from people who do. So letting the company know that you intend to vote with your wallet is an effective way to change such practices.

Encoding question. If the color format of "x" source is YV12 and resolution is, for example, 1080p, then luma plane is 1080p and chroma plane is 540p. Wouldn't that implies that chroma is in SD colorimetry since its resolution is lower than 576p, the HD minimum colorimetry?

I don't think that's how it works. It's not like you have to use a specific colour matrix based on resolution - there's just one that's the standard for HD material (regardless of chroma subsampling) and one that's the standard for things like DVDs.

Dylann Roof was 21, so I don't think racism is in danger of dying off any time soon, unfortunately. It's something we have to actively address instead of acting like it doesn't exist and hoping it'll disappear.

I think UBW may be my favorite anime. Like, I don't think it's the greatest artistic achievement for the medium ever or anything, but on a personal level, yeah, I don't know if I've ever been pleased as much with a show. What about you?

How can I motivate to continue working a project I love? I see it as kinda all a waste of time and effort, but I want to keep going.

If you like it, isn't that reason enough? If you just do a bit every day (or every week) you'll be guaranteed to finish eventually. Only way you can fail is if you procrastinate indefinitely, so just keep up a steady pace no matter how slow it is.
