I think he's one of the best editors around at the moment.
If you could be immortal, would you choose to be?
I'm pretty sure that's the only way I could ever get through my backlog.
What group is collectr a part of? I do think think I've heard the name
FFF, used to work for GotWoot when they were alive, runs his own group called Orphan that subs old shows, and probably other stuff http://collectr.blogspot.com/
I feel like unanimated is still the best all-round typesetter because he's fast, strikes a sane balance between quality and efficiency, and knows how to do a good job on time without stalling. In my opinion, it doesn't matter so much if you do super-fancy stuff with cool vector drawings and special effects if your show ends up delayed for days/weeks as a result.
So you're doing Tales of Xillia 2 now? I actually stopped just shortly after going back to the original place where Millia was. How is it so far? (I think you're farther ahead)
Pretty fun. The entertaining battles and storyline somewhat make up for the heavy use of recycled assets.
Would you describe yourself as an ubergay fagmeister?
I don't think they'd be the first words that come to mind.
Who wants to bet he watched the anon subs of ep8 on a streaming site and assumed they were Vivid?
What's happening with PP? It's been delayed for so long now.
Dunno, not my project!
On average, how long does it take to edit a script for an anime episode? (I know this varies depending on show and script length for every episode, but what's usually the minimum or maximum time required?)
Anywhere between half an hour to eight hours, but I'm gonna call 2-3 hours the average provided I don't slack off or get distracted.
Do you still experience the feeling when watching an anime, that you just say to yourself, "I need to watch this!" ? If not anymore, which anime was the last that made you feel that way? How's your day as well? :D
I guess, sure. Twintails, probably? I think a better indicator of quality is probably more when the show is interesting enough that each episode is over before you know it. Shirobako is a good example of that this season.I'm fine, thanks. Just editing Akame.
If I remember correctly, like 2 years ago, you commented in a release on fffansubs that the >commie complaints were never about your shows. Since, you've had accusations of being the true cartel don and your reputation is rising to be more notorious than herkz'. What happened? You're so famous now.
Beats me. They're still usually not about my editing.
Do you know of any group working on the IS OVA?
Don't know, don't care, sorry.
Any interest in Nekopara, or moege in general?
The designs are kind of cute but the game itself sounds vacuous as hell and the English translation is atrocious. If I were to read it, it'd be in Japanese for practice, but I have plenty of other games I'd rather read first. Not hugely interested in moege as a genre but the Japanese tends to be relatively easy so they're good practice if the writing is interesting enough that the game isn't otherwise dull as all hell.
Notice me Xythar senpai

How long have you lived in your current home?
Four or five years
So, who do you think wiped all the files? It seems it's only the groups were a lot of members have connections between one another.
Dunno. It doesn't really matter to me since I operate under the assumption that the FTP could get wiped whenever and keep local copies of everything / protect important stuff.
which groups were affected by the ftp incident?
As far as I know, just FFF, Vivid, and Commie. FFF was as described, but at least Eien can put his gigabit home internet to good use while he uploads backups. With Commie they only got some of the ftp (presumably because it was too damn slow to delete everything) and most of the files have been / are being recovered. And for Vivid they basically just deleted a bunch of old workraws and scripts that I didn't need anymore. So yeah, not really a big deal at least for the latter two.
favorite dr. seuss book?
Probably the Lorax
Will FFF now do something about it now that this ftp incident happened? Maybe not give the pass to everyone or something?
I have no idea. It doesn't really matter from an outside standpoint anyway.
I'm bored, what should I watch?
Amaburi
Give names, give names, give names! Who's behind this?
It's impossible to know for sure, so I won't. It doesn't really inconvenience me in the first place since almost all the files deleted were files we no longer need. The advantage of being up to date on all your shows, I guess!
can we expect any bd release from vivid?
If I feel like it. I generally won't bother if someone else is already doing BDs with our subs, unless they're horribly incompetent and I like the show enough to want to watch it a second time. (eg Uchouten Kazoku, though I think that was more like the third or fourth time. Uchouten Kazoku owns.)
