Netflix's Sidonia was very bad. Quality was worse than plan's BD release, there was no typesetting at all, and the editing wasn't as good as UW's. It's also not 5.1. I'm not sure about how good the TL is, though.

Oh, it's definitely declined compared to what it used to be. With the rise of simulcasts, a lot of people simply don't think it's worth it anymore, which is fine.

fansubbing is almost dead at this point. when you see ovas or movies go unsubbed for months or years, you realize that fansubbing is dead. >movies are a lot of work. Just look at it like a 6 episode long show and work on it little by little over 3 months or something
Sorry, but I don't plan to pack it in any time soon just because people aren't subbing the things you like. Most OVAs are crap, and most movies aren't worth the effort. Deal with it.

He basically said that you should always DL from fansub groups even if you intend to watch it raw because they have much better encodes than any of these raw groups. So yeah... Definitely choose UTW
